Our weddings for July were slightly down on numbers but many more in August. I don't really know the reason but could it have been the Football World Cup? Maybe thoughts of England reaching the final!
I was pleased to have spent sometime on google street view in planning the route to and from the pickup address last Saturday. One of the new style of estates where all streets are curved with lots of mini roundabouts and speed constrictions. We provided for the wedding of Joanna and Gareth at St Mary's Church, Clifton Upon Dunsmore, Rugby, Warwickshire, to Dunchurch Park Hotel. Lovely locations and close enough to drive open top all the way to the reception at Dunchurch. During the ceremony we had a period of rain but as is often our luck it stopped a few minutes before the couple emerged from the Church for photos. They drove away in warm sunshine but dark clouds were overhead as we approached Dunchurch. The photographers managed to get some great pics in front of the hotel. I don't know if it rained after I left but it was probably dry, as it was for my journey back to Burbage. Tim came home very wet from his wedding in Tamworth, so some cleaning and drying was necessary to prepare the Beauford for Sundays wedding at Rothley Court, Leicestershire. A fine day with a nice drive through Swithland and the Charnwood forest for some pics near to "Old John" in Bradgate Park.
