A Very Local Wedding In Our Home Village Of Burbage

We have travelled huge distances for some weddings this year so it is always a welcome change to provide for couples in our own village. The pickup address for Zoe's wedding party was only a short distance from St Catherine's Church so although the bridesmaids took the direct route past the pretty "Horse Pool" we allowed time for Zoe and Father to extend the journey via Sketchley Old Village. A little time to chat before the days proceedings. My friend Trevor helped with the chauffeuring and on this occasion features in the photo! We drove the lovely country route following the the wedding to the reception at Sutton Cheney via Stoke Golding and Dadlington. A really pleasant occasion prior to our 5am departure to the US the next day.

Zoe and Steven happily posing for photos prior to taking the drive to the reception in Sutton Cheney. The large Yew tree to the extreme left of the photo has come to the end of being able to safely remain at the corner of the churchyard and is to be taken down. I think some brides may be quite pleased as the dead "needles" take some time to remove from the intricacies of the wedding gown!
