A Magical Wedding Setting Only A Few Minutes From Bustling Coventry

A road closure at Ansty caused me to divert from home to church via Barnacle and Shilton. The road was clear when we arrived with the Bridesmaids so the simple 10min route back for Bride and Father ensured their arrival exactly on time. Danielle and Edward were getting married at St Jame's Church, Ansty, nr Coventry, Warwickshire. It is in a most wonderful setting next to Ansty Hall (the reception venue). The church is reached by a narrow wooded track leading to the hidden gem of the Church. The passer by may only spot the church from the M69 at a distance. I am informed that since the relaxation of rules re weddings and churches that many more couples are now using the Ansty Hall/St Jame's Church combination. We have three such weddings in the next few months. As the Church is so close to the reception venue we took an extended route via Shilton and then along the little used lane that leads to Withybrook. A lovely time for Danielle and Edward to relax - me too! Wonderful.

I couldn't resist stopping for a photo of the Beauford and the happy couple on the peaceful drive down Withybrook Lane, Shilton. With Danielle and Edward"s permission of course! A great couple on a lovely day.
